After reading many expert reviews on the Imprezas acceleration, the first thing I tried out was its get up and go. Not only was I impressed with its acceleration from a complete stop, but also its ability to pass vehicles on the highway going up hill. Having traded in a late model Cadillac with a V8 engine, I feel confidant in driving the Impreza with comfort, not only in the City but also on the highway.…
Exceeded expectations on every level. Great car

Thought we would likely buy a Forrester but ride was too rough so tried a red Impreza hatchback premium with moonroof. WOW! while it is smaller and lower, the ride and handling blew us away. Not to mention the much lower price. Our kids are gone so with just us, we leave the back seats flat down and could easily nap back there on trips while the other is driving. Our first short road trip was 2 hours each way and registered 36.8MPG! The highway manners are impressive as well. We love this car and our only complaint is lack of a CD player which is not available if you want a sunroof, which is the greatest invention for ventilation ever created. This is moms first NEW car and she is so happy with its solid and substantial feel. We recommend driving one for yourself. Be prepared to be IMPREZED!…

The engine, while not the greatest performance wise, pull nicely with the CVT gearing. The car has been very reliable with the only issues I know of being with the CVT transmission, although the only problem I've experienced is slipping and other unusual behaviors on cold days before reaching operating temp. Also, the hatchback version, which I have, has excellent cargo room. Overall, for the price, you wont find a better car.…
